And the divorce rate for people over 50 who have been married more than once is 2.5 times higher than those who have been coupled with the same person throughout their life. .Why is this happening? My guests today are Mike Gaskiewski, Occupational Therapist and Co-Owner with his brother Ed Gaskiewski, Physical Therapist, of THERAPY CHOICE and Greg Donahue, Executive Director of THERAPY CHOICE
In less than 2 decades, the graying of America will be inescapable. Older adults are projected to outnumber kids for the first time in U.S. history. By 2060, nearly one in four Americans will be 65 years and older, the number of 85-plus will triple and the country will add a half million centenarians. With this swelling number of older adults, the country will see greater demands for healthcare, in-home caregiving and assisted living facilities
GOOD NEWS
My guests have devoted their professional lives to finding ways that seniors can remain in their own home for as long as possible, despite the reality of the physical and mental challenges that we all face as we grow older.
This interview could change the quality of your life or a loved one's FOREVER!

1. GOOD NEWS!! Research is telling us that more and more people are turning to therapists and asking for help. In fact drugstores around the country including CVS, Walmart and Walgreens are setting up walk-in sessions for mental health treatment. And in the aftermath of the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last year, mental health experts across the country say they have seen African-Amerians, whose skepticism of therapy has been documented by research, seeking it in growing numbers.
SO IF YOUR DEPRESSION, ANXIETY AND OTHER MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES ARE GETTING IN THE WAY OF YOUR LIFE AND RELATIONSHIPS, DO WHAT'S IN YOUR BEST INTEREST AND GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO REACH OUT AND ASK FOR HELP.
